Drug Rehabilitation centre

Rehabilitation of people with disabilities is a process aimed at enabling them to reach and maintain their optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological and social functional levels. Rehabilitation provides disabled people with the tools they need to attain independence and self-determination. After a serious injury, illness or surgery, you may recover slowly. You may need to regain your strength, relearn skills or find new ways of doing things you did before. This process is rehabilitation. Drug rehabilitation tends to address a stated twofold nature of drug dependency: physical and psychological dependency. Physical dependency involves a detoxification process to cope with withdrawal symptoms from regular use of a drug. With regular use of many drugs, legal or otherwise, the brain gradually adapts to the presence of the drug so that the desired effect is minimal. Rehabilitation often focuses on Physical therapy to help your strength, mobility and fitness, Occupational therapy to help you with your daily activities, Treatment of pain. The type of therapy and goals of therapy may be different for different people. For example, an older person who has had a stroke may simply want to dress or bathe without help. The goal of younger person who has suffered a heart attack may be to return to work and normal activities. Rehabilitation is about encouraging and helping you to do things for yourself. Specially trained carers work with you under the guidance of an occupational therapist or a physiotherapist. They will give you advice on how to cope with your illness or disability, or provide you with aids and equipment to help you do things more easily. You will all be following a written care plan, which alters as you improve. One of the best in this field is Chapman House. They are the best in drug rehab and drug treatment.
