Its Federer vs Davydenko at the semis

Three time US Open champion Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick in straight sets 7-6,7-6,6-2 in the men's quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. It took two hours for the Swiss to beat the American for the 14th time in 15 meetings. In another match fourth seed Nikolay Davydenko defeated Germany's Tommy Haas in straight sets 6-3,6-3,6-4. He now faces Federer in the semis which would be an interesting clash. In the womens draw Venus Williams will face Justine Henin in the US Open semi-finals after coming through an epic encounter with fourth seed Jelena Jankovic 4-6 6-1 7-6 (7-4).
