Roger Federer had a good workout as he beat Robby Ginepri 7-6, 6-4 in the second round of the Madrid Masters. The first set went with serve to set up a tiebreak. The world number one then upped his game and took it with an ace by a score of 7-2. Great Britain's Andy Murray cruised past 15th seed Juan Ignacio Chela 6-1, 6-3 while 11th seed Tommy Haas also made an early exit, going out in straight sets to Argentina's Monaco.
